No. The milk-silk weave has the soft hand-feel of linen but resists wrinkles much better. You can fold it in a suitcase and shake it out — no ironing needed.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes. Cold wash with similar colors and hang to dry. The floral stays intact and the color holds beautifully.
Is it lined or see-through in sunlight?
The fabric has enough body to remain opaque in normal daylight. Most women find they don't need a slip underneath.
Will the dress hold its shape after several wears?
