Will it stay hidden once the flowers are arranged?
Yes. The grid sits flat on top of the vase opening and gets covered by the leaves and lower blooms. Once the arrangement is built, you barely see it.
Can I use it with artificial flowers too?

What if my vase opening is a little smaller than 2.7"?
