Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my bathroom sink?
Yes. The Drainwell fits 99% of standard US bathroom sinks with drain holes between 1.02" and 1.45" diameter. The included rubber gaskets (28mm and 33mm) ensure a snug, leak-free seal.
Does the basket slow down my drain?
Minimal impact. The mesh is designed for flow—water passes through while debris stays trapped. If you're running high-volume water, just lift the basket temporarily.
How often do I need to clean it?
Most users clean it once or twice a week. Just lift the basket, dump the contents, and rinse. Takes about 5 seconds.
Can I still fill the sink with water?
Absolutely. Push down on the top to seal the drain completely. Push again to release and drain.
Does it help with drain odors?
Yes. The tight seal blocks sewer gases and odors from coming up through the drain when closed.
How to use
- Step 1: Remove your old sink stopper by lifting or unscrewing it.
- Step 2: Drop the Drainwell into the drain opening. Press down to seat the rubber gasket.
- Step 3: Push the top once to seal (hold water). Push again to open (drain water).
- Step 4: To clean, simply lift out the entire unit and remove the mesh basket.
