Aldric – Handmade 1920's English Chainmail Purse

I bought the grey cardigan in September and it has barely come off since. It is the thing I reach for without thinking.

The pencil midi is properly lined and holds its shape. I wore it to a wedding and then to the office the week after.

Small enough that I forget I am wearing it, and the phone still works through the front panel. Exactly what I wanted.

The square neck is flattering without being low. It skims rather than clings, which at my age matters.

Ordered for my son's wedding. It photographs beautifully and I did not feel overdressed at the lunch afterwards.

The knit drapes properly instead of hanging like a sack, and it goes under a coat with no bulk at all.

A shirt dress I can actually button comfortably across the chest. The pintucks still sit flat after washing.

Pockets in a dress this smart was not something I expected. I have worn it more than anything else this autumn.

The backpack straps are the point. A full shop and a laptop, and my shoulder is fine at the end of it.

Light enough for an October afternoon but it still feels substantial. The ruffle trim is subtle rather than fussy.

Handmade and it shows, in a good way. Worn daily for two months with no tarnishing.

The embroidery on the collar is neat on both sides. It reads as considered rather than cheap.
